Engracia Afua Mofuman has been crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2022.
She was declared winner on Tuesday, December 21, at the grand finale of the annual competition, just ahead of Dorothy Ndede and Magali Ama Kab, who came in second and third respectively.
The 27-year-old succeeds Naa Morkor Commodore, who won the competition last year.
Engracia put on a stellar performance to emerge victor amidst strong competition from 16 intelligent, elegant, and brilliant models from across the country.
She grabs the crown after several weeks of exciting activities, including a national costume competition, fashion show and fitness challenge among others.
The feat establishes her as Ghana’s official representative for next year’s Miss Universe International pageant.
Articulate in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese languages and standing at 176 cm tall, Mofuman promises to be a strong contender for the international crown next year.
National Director of the Miss Universe Ghana, Menaye Donkor-Muntari described the contest as the beginning of more remarkable achievements.
“Our forefathers would be proud! This is the genesis of greater milestones that would propel Ghana to the international spotlight and awaken the spirit of patriotism for the world to see,” she said.
